Our Knox County Master Gardener (KCMG)  Members support many projects and activities in our community. We provide research-based educational outreach to the residents of Knox County. In the state of Tennessee there are over 50 Master Gardener organizations that assist the Tennessee Extension in providing this outreach. In even-numbered years the Tennessee Extension recognizes outstanding contributions made by MG organizations in the prior two years.

There is also an International Master Gardener organization that recognizes outstanding community service and outreach throughout the United States, Canada, and South Korea. The International Master Gardener organization recognizes these accomplishments in odd-numbered years.
