Saturday morning is usually more of a work session: planting, tilling, setting stakes, using hand tools and power tools. During peak growing season, activities will also include harvesting, weeding, scouting for pests, etc.
For events scheduled on a holiday, (e.g., Maundy Thursday, Independence Day), Mike Smith will send an email including whether there will or will not be an organized event. So sign up with Mike to be on the email list if you have not already. Of course, if you are familiar with the garden, you can volunteer on your own.
